Southern Pines HealthCARE hosted the National Day of Prayer celebration on Thursday, May 1, 2014. This synchronized, interfaith event takes place company-wide, with each Signature facility hosting their own unique National Day of Prayer celebrations. The National Day of Prayer is held each year on the first Thursday in May. A law was enacted in 1952 formalizing observance of the day, although its origins trace back to 1775, when the first Continental Congress called for a National Day of Prayer. Our celebration included music both from church hymns to Patriotic songs. The residents and stakeholders of Southern Pines HealthCARE released red, white, and blue balloons in honor of their loved ones. This event took place at 2 pm.
