Hall of Fame Cafe at Southern Pines

Hall of FameThe Hall of Fame program recognizes the outstanding accomplishments and experiences of the facility’s patients, employees, and community leaders for their contributions to the home and society as a whole. Hometown Heroes were honored October 9, 2014 at Southern Pines HealthCARE Center. The four inductees included Sheriff Chris Nocco, community leader, Tina Amoroso, stakeholder and patients Louis C. Tienken and Katie Angel McLemore.

Family and friends gathered together to celebrate the induction of these heroes into The Hall of Fame. A slide show depicted the life of each inductee with photos as their bios were read, then each one was presented with a certificate of honor. The purpose of the Hometown Heroes program is to “change the landscape of long-term care forever.”

“Our patients have given so much to their hometowns and our nation, and these contributions deserve to be celebrated,” said Signature President and CEO Joe Steier. The Hall of Fame Café induction ceremonies are a small way for us to say thank you. Southern Pines HealthCARE Center is one of 124 locations operated by Louisville, Ky.-based Signature HealthCARE. Launched in 2003, the Hall of Fame event is hosted annually by each Signature home at different times throughout the year. In recent years, Signature has taken a different approach by having each center host its Hall of Fame ceremony on the same day, creating a synchronized, company-wide event.
