On Nov. 1, Southern Pines Healthcare held a Service of Remembrance. It was a time to remember and offer prayers up on behalf of all of the faithful departed loved ones who had passed away during the year. The names of patients, stakeholder’s friends and family members were read aloud in a Roll Call. A bell sounded after each name. Special songs were played by Pastor Curt Snare during the service such as “The Borning Cry”, “Be Thou My Vision” and “When the Saints Go Marching In.” Chaplain Mike’s message was “Remembering, Reconnecting and Rejoicing”. Following the Roll Call, Monarch butterflies were released as a visible way to celebrate the lives of our loved ones.
