‘It is a blessing to know my mom is with a group of very caring people’

Hi, Teresa –

After speaking with you the other day and sharing with you how thankful I am to ALL the STAFF at Southern Pines, I thought it would be nice to put it in writing so you could share with the Staff.

I have been involved with Southern Pines for a few years now. I know there are some new people there, even since my visit this summer – you are one of them. I have not met you personally, nor have I met all the newer staff, but it has been nice as well as HELPFUL to speak with you and other newer staff on the phone. I appreciate ALL that EVERYONE at Southern Pines does – new staff and staff who have been there longer.

It started with my sister being there close to three years ago and now our Mom. It is very difficult to try and manage the care of loved ones, but even more difficult when you are in another state. I want to let EVERYONE there at Southern Pines how much I appreciate each and every one of them – from the front office and reception to the pastor, maintenance, housekeeping, dietary, rehab therapists, records, business office, activities, nursing Assistants and nursing. There is not one person nor one department that has not been there to assist me whether on the phone or in person when I have asked for something for my Mom. And we do ask – ’cause we love her and she is the ONLY ONE WE HAVE! (And those of you who know our family – which many of you do because you have helped us and helped her – KNOW we are very involved with our Mom and would not have it any other way!).

Please know we appreciate you all! Your efforts, kindness and going out of your way are noticed. It is a blessing to me to know my Mom is with a group of very caring people.
